Leisure in Costa Blanca
Costa Blanca Beaches
The Costa Blanca with its mix of miles of white sandy beaches, peaceful villages, dramatic mountain ranges and varied resorts, is one of the most cosmopolitan coastlines in Europe.
There are over 100km of white sandy beaches stretching from Valencia in the north to Murcia in the south, which have won the highest proportion of Blue Flag Awards for the quality of water and facilities.
Costa Blanca starts in the north with the towns of Denia and Jávea nestling at the foot of Montgo mountain and continues to the south to Guardamar and Torrevieja. The N332 coastal road runs along the entire coast making it an easy and pleasant journey from north to south and offers spectacular views.
The region has a huge variety of sporting facilities of which golf and sailing are predominant. The entire area is also steeped in history, which is evident by the 400 fiestas held throughout the year. There are many tourist attractions such as the Terra Mitica amusement park at Benidorm but the biggest attractions are definitely the sea, beaches and beautiful villages.
Beaches on the Costa Blanca are plentiful. Here are some brief summaries of what they have to offer:
